NC Driver’s Handbook Holds Answers to Crosswalk Questions

Dear Editor,

I just got done reading a letter from another student about the crosswalks on campus and motorists who don’t understand the law. In North Carolina your driver’s hand book tells you in no uncertain terms that if you see a pedestrian even waiting at a crosswalk, you MUST stop for them. That’s it, not should, or it would be nice, but you MUST stop for pedestrians already in, or lined up in cross-walks. That is the law. Is there any part of the preceeding paragraph, that after spending $6000 a year of your parent’s money, that you are not able to understand? If so, ask someone more intelligent. You souldn’t have any problem finding them, as it should be alomst anyone you meet.

Very Sincerely,Greg Culp
